Four Mile Beach, Port Douglas, is regarded as one of the safest beaches to learn to kite surf in OZ, its is blessed with consistent warm SE trade-winds that blow from March to December during the Australian winter with temps averaging 24'C and water temp not to much below.

WINDSWELL KITESURFING SCHOOL IS LOCATED at the south end of the beach where you will find the friendly local crew and the HUT on the beach. Ride a push bike (15minutes)or walk the beach (45minutes)head south into the wind (there's your first lesson) or catch as bus or drive to the park at the END of BARRIER STREET.

It has perfect wind, palm trees (Kite safety barriers),flat-water (thanks to a reef to the south of the beach), lots of small waves/ramps to hit, no obstacles and plenty of room downwind. Not to mention heaps of shallow water for learning to kite. Four Mile has something for every kiter.......
